Additional Remarks/Comments

A non-refundable REGISTRATION FEE of $20 will be collected at the annual Rules Clinic & School in January. If you choose to apply to become a probationary MBUA member, the fee will be credited against your annual dues and assessments (for rule books, membership in the MPSSAA, liability insurance, etc.). Probationary umpires are recommended for full membership in the MBUA (usually after two years) based on a) attendance at the annual Rules Clinic & School, b )scores on the National Federation tests, c) availability and number of games worked, d) performance as an umpire, and/or certifications in writing from other associations. You will be observed a minimum of eighteen (18) times during your probationary period. While umpiring you will be required to wear the regular uniform approved by the MBUA membership and Board of Governors.

As an umpire and member of the MBUA, you will be an independent contractor, not an employee of the MBUA.
